About me

Helping you navigate change and unlock your potential – that's what drives me every day.

Whether you're facing a career transition, leading through uncertainty, or building a thriving organization, I believe the most powerful breakthroughs come not from being told what to do (although I do this when acting as a consultant and mentor), but from discovering your own answers through the right questions. That's why I've spent the past 15 years studying and mastering the art of coaching, working with established and aspiring leaders as well as teams across the globe who are ready to create meaningful change.

What sets my approach apart? I combine rigorous training with real-world experience. My formal coaching credentials include Executive Leadership Coaching from IMD Lausanne and Lifestyle & Wellness Coaching from Harvard Medical School. I'm certified to use cutting-edge assessment tools like the Individual Directions Inventory™ to help you identify what truly motivates you and where your untapped energy lies. As a member of recognized coaching associations, I'm committed to the highest ethical standards in everything I do.

You'll benefit from both my inside and outside perspective. Having spent over 20 years in roles across diverse industries – from financial services and luxury brands to higher education and creative industries – I understand the pressures and complexities you face. With my PhD in Business/Marketing from University of St. Gallen and my involvement in research and teaching as a professor/senior lecturer at international universities I help you see beyond immediate challenges and identify strategic possibilities.

My holistic approach means we'll work with your whole self. Beyond traditional coaching techniques, I integrate insights from neuroscience, lifestyle medicine, philosophy, positive psychology and contemplative practices including meditation and breathwork – particularly valuable if you're operating in high-pressure environments. I've learned that sustainable success requires attention to both professional goals and personal wellbeing.

Through my boutique consulting firm Bello & Benfatto KlG, I also help premium and luxury companies develop customer-centric strategies and exceptional brand experiences. This dual focus on individual development and organizational excellence gives me unique insights into how personal leadership translates into business results.

When we work together, you'll find someone who appreciates life's finer things – from Italian retreats where I run immersive programs to the simple pleasure of a perfectly prepared meal. I believe that leaders who cultivate aesthetic sensibility and take time for reflection make better decisions and inspire others more effectively.

My Philosophy

It may sound surprising, but we are most human when we do nothing, when we refrain from action. Not always, but regularly.

Non-doing and just being in the moment give our mind, body and soul the space they need to reach a state of calm, to sort through our thoughts and to make sense of our feelings.

Only by refraining from constant action can we reach the levels of self-awareness that lead to the clarity we need to grow personally, to find our own definition of success and to live a life of meaning and purpose.

The reason why my coaching sessions are so powerful is that I provide my clients with a “world of refrainment”, a space where reflection can happen, where insight can follow and where clarity allows for focused and mindful action.

My Coaching Style

My coaching approach is client-focused, transformative and holistic.

Effective coaching starts with you. I adapt my interventions based on who you are, what your challenge is and what will support you most in achieving your goal. For this reason I sometimes mix coaching, which is more about asking you powerful questions, with mentoring, where I offer viewpoints and perspectives.

With a strong foundation in solution-oriented, systemic coaching, my style is influenced by various coaching traditions (e.g., humanist, psycho-dynamic). For context and inspiration, I complement it with evidence-based insights from neuroscience, positive psychology, lifestyle medicine, mindfulness- based stress reduction (MBSR), as well as classical Western & Eastern philosophy and contemporary sociology.

In my coaching sessions we address the whole person, including mind, body and soul. The concepts of contemplation, self-awareness, resonance, empathy, rest (or non-doing), and the power of making (e.g., craft & art) are vital to my coaching approach.
